1. No live checkout yet
Wookex does not currently operate a public checkout, collect marketplace payments, or ask buyers to pay for Wookex orders. Any person requesting payment for a supposed Wookex order during this pre-launch period should be treated with caution and reported.
2. Intended secure checkout principles
When payments launch, checkout should clearly show the seller, items, quantities, charges, delivery information, payment method, and total amount before confirmation. Payment pages should use encrypted HTTPS connections and established payment services appropriate to the market and transaction type.
3. Payment information
Wookex intends to minimise direct handling of sensitive card data by using suitable payment providers and tokenised or hosted payment flows where appropriate. Final disclosures will identify the active methods and explain relevant provider roles. Wookex support will never need a buyer's full card number, password, PIN, or one-time code by email or chat.
4. Fraud prevention
Transactions may be screened using order, device, account, payment, delivery, and behavioural signals. A payment or order may be delayed, declined, cancelled, or reviewed where there is a reasonable security, fraud, legal, or policy concern. Security checks should be proportionate and should not be described in a way that helps abuse them.
5. Buyer payment precautions
- Use only the official wookex.com website and authorised checkout flow after launch.
- Check the complete domain name and HTTPS connection before entering payment details.
- Do not pay a seller privately to bypass marketplace records or protections.
- Never share passwords, PINs, card verification codes, or one-time codes.
- Review the amount and seller information before confirming payment.
- Keep order confirmations and promptly report an unfamiliar transaction.
6. Cards, wallets, and other payment methods
The final mix of credit cards, debit cards, digital wallets, bank-based payments, financing options, or other methods has not been announced. Each method can involve different authorization, refund, dispute, risk, and availability rules. Those rules will be shown before buyers are able to select the method.
7. Refund security
Approved refunds should be processed through authorised Wookex and payment-provider workflows. Buyers should not be asked to pay a release fee, share a one-time code, install remote-access software, or provide online banking credentials to receive a refund.
8. Reporting suspicious payment requests
Forward the sender details, website address, screenshots, and a description of the request to support@wookex.com. Do not include full payment credentials. If money has already moved, contact the relevant bank, wallet, or payment provider promptly as well.
