Order tracking helps customers confirm that a purchase has moved from checkout to fulfillment and then to delivery. On a marketplace, tracking may update in stages because the seller, fulfillment partner, and courier can each add their own status changes.

Where to find tracking information

Tracking details usually appear in the order history, the shipping confirmation email, or the message thread tied to the purchase. Some orders show a number immediately after checkout, while others show tracking only after the seller or fulfillment partner creates the label and hands the package to the carrier.

  • Open the order history and review the most recent order status.
  • Check the shipping confirmation email for a tracking link or number.
  • Copy the exact tracking number before contacting support.
  • Keep the order number and product name together with the tracking details.

What common tracking statuses usually mean

Tracking language varies by carrier, but most marketplaces follow a similar pattern. A label may be created before the package moves, a parcel may show as in transit while it travels between hubs, and delivery may appear only after a final scan at the destination. Knowing the difference helps customers avoid opening a support request too early.

  • Label created means the parcel was prepared, but it may not have been scanned by the carrier yet.
  • In transit means the package is moving through the courier network.
  • Out for delivery usually means the parcel is on the final vehicle for delivery.
  • Delivered should be checked against the mailbox, front door, building office, or neighbors if the package is missing.

When to contact support

A support request is most useful when tracking has stopped for longer than the expected delivery window, the delivery status says delivered but the parcel is missing, or the tracking number does not match the order. Include screenshots only if they help, but always lead with the order number and the issue.
